No one likes to guess how much things might cost, even when making a simple enquiry. So this page will hopefully set your expectations about the service delivered and charges payable for initial and ongoing advice.

We have several packages which pretty much cover most standard client advice services. The related initial and ongoing charges can be paid by invoice or by debiting your pension or investment product, when possible.

Commissions no longer apply on pensions and investments * products but if you require advice about protection products or general insurance, you have the option to pay for our advice this way in lieu of us charging a fee. Unless otherwise agreed, we’ll use a commission as a method of payment when arranging an insurance product.

* The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than the amount invested.

Initial Advice

We have 4 options for initial advice and implementation which should enable you to receive an appropriate service.  Depending on the package chosen and the funds under advice, we can analyse up to 6 investment and/or pension products, produce a Suitability Report outlining our recommendations, and implement them for you. Charges are payable via your product or directly by you on completion.

Service Level 1 - Economy

We offer a fixed charge for a single client to analyse 1 to 2 different types of personal pension and/or investment products. The charge includes:

Fact Find & Research Meeting

  • scope of advice, goals and risk and return, product discussion
  • review income and spending, assets and liabilities
  • lost pension and state pension check
  • discuss your attitude to risk and capacity for loss and set boundaries
  • review pros and cons of your existing products
  • agree on achievable and measurable goals for the future

Post Meeting Research

  • 2 cashflow models (Plan A, What IF)
  • existing and recommended product & fund analysis

Suitability Report & Meeting

  • sent via secure portal with meeting to discuss advice and cashflow models

Implementation

  • pre-completed applications with online signing (subject to provider)
  • weekly updates until completion

Ongoing Advice

Should you wish for us to continue advice, we have 4 ongoing service options from which to choose. Depending on the package chosen and the funds under advice, we can monitor, report and advise on multiple products, produce an annual Review and implement changes to keep your plan on track. Charges are payable monthly via your product or directly by you during each review year.

Service Level 1 - Economy

    • Client Portal – Secure online access to portfolio and document sharing.
    • Annual Review – One yearly meeting to review plan progress and suitability.
    • Annual Report – Written summary of review outcomes and fees paid.
    • Fund Rebalancing – One annual rebalance or fund switch included.
    • Ongoing Contact – Access to adviser support via phone or email.

Additional information

We seek to explain all likely advice charges here, but not everything can be predicted. For example, you may require external taxation advice or changes in legislation may require us to add VAT on an advice service which is currently exempt. We shall notify you in the event anything changes.

Depending on the service we provide, there may be other costs and charges relating to financial products we recommend and arrange for you. We can outline these expected costs in our advice, along with confirmation in supporting documentation.
